ABOUT YOUR STARTELLER
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1990, Larissa Xavier is a writer, poet, and creative astrologer.
At 26, she came with her partner to the United States to start anew and has lived in New York City since 2017. During her 16s, while working at a luxury boutique, she had an 'artistic calling' that later led her to pursue a bachelor's degree in fashion.
Literature & Astrology, on the other hand, have always been strong passions & hobbies of hers, leading Larissa to create many personal projects, such as “Who are you in NYC based on your Zodiac Sign” and “Confessional Literature.”
Under her Saturn Return and amid the adversity of immigrant life, Larissa felt a strong urge to create again. Firstly, she got her artist visa approved, reinforcing her intentions. Years later, Larissa learned about the traditional practice and, based on her chart, was encouraged by an astrologer to follow also an astrological path. Immediately, she took it as a cosmic sign (amor fati!)!
Since 2021, Larissa has been non-stop studying the ancient foundation and seeing clients in between. Now, she's ready to take off (or land, lol) with Startelling as her one & only highest Art form.
I'm available to host private events, speak at conferences, give interviews, or facilitate custom-made workshops. Whatever idea comes to your mind, let's co-create it with The Art of Ancient Astrology!

Startelling was born when I turned 33, an age often associated with transformation. It was intentionally crafted as an astro-atelier—a space where I could merge over a decade of creative experiences with my thoughts on Astrology, Art, History, Philosophy, and Metaphysics, the very foundation of creativity. I even coined the term creative astrologer to define my role in this field.
Despite having fulfilling work experiences over the years, I never quite found my happy place—a familiar challenge for someone with the Moon in the 10th house of career. Writing, however, has always been my truest form of expression (thank you, Mercury in the 5th house), but existing platforms rarely accommodated my unconventional ideas (hello, Venus in Aries!). It became clear: I needed to create my own space.
Also, there was another gap that no one seemed to be addressing. Astrology is often used for self-reflection, but where is the astrology that unveils creative instincts and helps people understand their artistic rhythm and way of shaping and expressing ideas? I couldn't find it. So, I built it.
Immigrating to the United States made me long for more creative autonomy in a foreign language and country. After years of wandering & wondering, the stars and the arts finally collided, forming my own creative constellation—Startelling.

With a background in fashion, I was trained to appreciate art history, forms of expression, and theoretical knowledge. Literature, in particular, has been my greatest source of inspiration. And the deeper I explored astrology, the more I realized how much it shares with art—both seek meaning beyond the surface, both tell stories that unfold across time.
One curious link? We read a book and book a reading. The same word connects literature and astrology. I notice patterns like these, drawing connections others might overlook. That’s why Star-Telling (storytelling) became an asset—I tell stories written in the stars.
I approach astrology with imagination, intellect, realism, and originality. But originality, to me, isn’t just about innovation—it’s about origin. From the Latin origo—"to rise, to be born"—origin speaks to beginnings, the force that brings something into being. Just as every artistic movement has its roots in a time, place, and vision, astrology traces the unfolding of life from its cosmic starting points. Astrology, like art, is a tool for investigation and expression, a way to shape our lives into something deeply personal. Startelling is the bridge between the two.
